SANTEE, S.C. (AP) -- Golf and health are among the topics on the schedule as U.S. Rep. Jim Clyburn's Rudolph Canzater Memorial Classic returns to Santee.
The weekend of events starting Friday is named for the late Urban League official who also worked for the state Human Affairs Commission. It's the 22nd year the event has been held.
This year's event again includes a Friday health fair for residents in the Interstate 95 corridor. And as many as 600 golfers are expected to play in the two-day golf tournament, boosting business for local motels and restaurants.
Proceeds from the event will provide about $400,000 of scholarships, computers and software to 100 students who either live in or attend college in the 6th Congressional District that Clyburn represents.
