RIDGEVILLE, S.C. (WCIV) -- DSS has confirmed that the two children of Quintin and Chantel McGrew have been removed from their home for a second time.

DSS spokesperson Marilyn Matheus replied to ABC News 4 saying "All I can confirm is that the parents are cooperating with DSS's plan for the children's safety."

Quintin McGrew, the father of the 2-month-old baby who was fatally mauled by a dog, is being charged with unlawful neglect of a child. The family is being represented by attorney Andy Savage.

The incident happened Friday, April 20, at a home on Sandpit Drive in Ridgeville.

Dorchester County officials say Chantel McGrew came home to find that her 2-month-old son Aiden had been dismembered by a dog the family had been watching for a friend.

Aiden later died after being transported to Summerville Medical Center.

The coroner's office listed parental neglect among the factors in Aiden's death.
