KIAWAH ISLAND, SC (WCIV) -- What a difference a couple of days makes.

Earlier this week the Ocean Course golf shop was not only full of people, it was full of merchandise. By Sunday afternoon everything was just about gone.

"We got a flag, a poster, a book for our kids signed by the author," said Amy Fite. "We spent about $68, but I feel it was worth it."

Whatever was left at the golf shop, it wasn't much, still shoppers were scooping it up.

"We should have come last night during the storm," said Paula Hutchins.

"Oh it's cleared out, everything's gone," Al Hunter said. "It's hard to get larges. Everything's double ‘x' or extra large. They (PGA) probably took in millions."

The PGA probably did just fine, profit-wise. So was it money well spent? Well that usually depends on who's buying.

"We spent over $100, but I didn't pay for it, he (dad) did," said Nick Dulko.

"I think I'm done, don't you think," asked Hutchins as she walked, arms full, to a cashier.

The PGA wont exactly let us in and say how much it made from what looks like a record sale. But they told us earlier in the week the golf shop is one of the biggest they've ever constructed.
