
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WCIV) - The Powerball jackpot has grown to $320 million for Wednesday night's drawing, making it the fourth largest jackpot in game history.
The winner can elect to take a one-time cash payment of $213 million, the
largest cash option the game has seen.
The odds of winning the jackpot are about 1 in 176 million. This is the second Jackpot to go over $300 million this year. The jackpot reached $336 million before a winner hit in Rhode Island.
Solomon Jackson Jr. of Columbia was the last South Carolinian to win the Jackpot. He won $259 million.
Those looking to get tickets before Wednesday night's drawing must purchase by 9:59 p.m. for the 10:59 p.m. drawing.
Powerball tickets cost $2 and are available at lottery retailers statewide.
