CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) - A school bus hit a parked car and took off Thursday morning, according to Charleston Police.

A collision report states that the Durham School Services bus was making a left turn onto Beaufain Street off Wilson at 7:30 a.m., when it struck a parked car on the left side of the road.

Durham School Services provides buses for the Charleston County School District, but Jason Sakran with CCSD could not be reached to confirm that this bus was a CCSD vehicle.

The collision report states that it is unknown how many children were in the bus at the time of the incident but an official with the Charleston police confirmed that there were children on board at the time of the accident.
