BCSO finds missing woman's car burned in the woods with a body nearby

MONCKS CORNER, S.C. (WCIV) -- The Berkeley County Sheriff's Offices reports investigators have located the 2000 white Chevrolet Metro two missing Moncks Corner women were last seen in. 

According to Dan Moon with the BCSO, it was found burned in the Francis Marion Forest in the Cordsville area. The body of a deceased female was found nearby but the victim has not been identified.

The BCSO is asking for the public's help in locating the two women reported missing by their families.

Dana Marie Woods, 18, and 22-year-old June Guerry were last seen in Dana's 2000 white Chevy Metro. The car has a silver driver's side door and bears the SC license plate IAJ-337.

Dana is 5'2", weighing 150 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes.

June is described as being 5'4", weighing 140 pounds with auburn hair and blue eyes.

Officials say search teams are combing the forest on four wheelers and on foot. Dive teams are also searching a nearby creek.

If you have any information on the whereabouts of these two women, you are asked to call the BCSO in Moncks Corner (843-719-4234), Charleston (843-723-3800) or St. Stephen (843-567-3136).

NOTE: A vigil for the missing women is scheduled at 6 p.m. at St Johns Christian Academy in Moncks Corner.
