Buckle up Dorchester County: seatbelt crackdown in effect Friday - WCIV-TV | ABC News 4 - Charleston News, Sports, Weather

DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C.(WCIV)--If you hate wearing your seatbelt, you may want to reconsider this weekend.

Starting Friday at 9:00 PM, the Dorchester County Sheriffs Office Traffic Division will team up with the South Carolina Highway Patrol for a night time seat belt enforcement.

Authorities will be focusing on high-volume traffic areas including Ashley Phosphate Road, Dorchester Road, Appian Way, and Patriot Parkway.

This enforcement is to help prevent fatalities during and after a vehicle collision on our south Carolina road ways.
