‘I Won a Life in the Lottery: The Vietnam War Lottery’

Posted: Updated:

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Lowcountry pastor Reverend Dale Warren has released his book "I Won a Life in the Lottery: The Vietnam War Lottery" about his time during war and beyond.

Warren's birthday was the number one pick in the Vietnam War draft. Suddenly, his dreams of working hard, marrying his high school sweetheart and building a home were put on hold.

Speaking on Lowcountry Live, Reverend Warren said that the book is based on Jeremiah 29:11 which reads, "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

"The inspiration for the book is God's word. There is a plan for your life," Warren said "The book does have a lot of encouragement through it."

Warren's book is being presented at the Bejing International Bookfair.
