Dunston Elementary lifts administrative lockdown

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) - Dunston Elementary School on Remount Road in North Charleston has lifted the administrative lockdown, according to CCSD officials.

Jason Sakran with the CCSD said around 2 p.m. Monday, that an administrative lockdown was authorized as a precautionary measure due to police activity in the area. 

The lockdown was lifted as of 3:50 p.m. Monday.

An administrative lockdown is not a lockdown of the entire school.  The school day continues normally, but administrators and teachers are made aware of the situation, so all faculty can be alert.
