Local, private practice breaks ground on new facility
NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) – Pain Specialists of Charleston broke ground on their brand new, 20,000 square foot outpatient center on Monday.
The groundbreaking ceremony featured Pain Specialists of Charleston friends and employees, members of the City of North Charleston, Trident Construction and Coast Architects.
The new facility will be located on Elms Plantation Boulevard in North Charleston.
According to a press release, the new center will enable the doctors and specialists to provide advanced interventional pain management treatments and solutions to a larger base of patients. The private practice specializes in stem trials, clinical research, and caring for patients with chronic pain.
The center will also bring in new jobs to the North Charleston area.
"We currently have about 30 plus employees, and we're looking to add somewhere between 10 and 15 employees between now and the end of the year," said Rick Grooms, chief operating officer for Pain Specialists of Charleston.
According to Grooms, the new clinic will be 4 times as big as the facility they are currently operating out of.
