SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCIV) -- Two men are in police custody after allegedly robbing a Summerville sandwich shop Tuesday night and pizza place the Tuesday before that.
Investigators say 21-year-old Melvin Mack walked into the Subway store at 975 Bacons Bridge Road while two employees were leaving at 11 p.m. Tuesday. The employees were forced back into the store and forced to open a safe there, police said.
Mack then left the store with cash from the safe.
Mack's brother, 20-year-old Carroll Mack was outside the store at the time of the robbery, according to Capt. Jon Rogers of the Summerville Police Department.
Both men are charged with robbery while armed with a deadly weapon.
Melvin Mack is also charged with possession of a firearm during a violent crime and kidnapping.
No employees were injured in the robbery, Rogers said.
On Wednesday, the DCSO charged the brothers with a robbery at a Summerville Little Caesars that happened the previous week. You can read more on that incident here.
