CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) - Charleston's Restaurant Week is ending, but some chefs in West Ashley are hoping you saved room for Avondale's Restaurant Week.

Customers like Charles Walker said he plans to load up on oysters twice this week because of Avondale restaurant week.

"You've got Triangle across the street. You've got Pearlz, all centered around Gene's. It's really growing and it's becoming a big restaurant area.

Pearlz Chef Scott Ottinger says last years first Avondale restaurant week was so successful they needed to make room for this year.

"We actually pushed to expand our restaurant this year, to get it open for this years restaurant week," said Ottinger.

Ottinger says the week can be hectic but exciting. He says this year he's even changing menu selections every day.

"Not only do we get the influx of people that are coming down from different areas, but we are also keeping our loyal clientele coming back by offering something different," said Ottinger.

Triangle Char & Bar manager Misty Wilder says Avondale restaurant week is about the customers.

"We have such a strong local clientele, all of the restaurants here. So, we wanted to do something to show them our appreciation for them and their continual local business," said Wilder.

Participating restaurants will offer three courses for $20. Participating Restaurants include Triangle Char + Bar, Pearlz Little Oyster Bar, The Roost, Mellow Mushroom and Al Di La.
