CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- A federal judge has dismissed portions of a lawsuit against Citadel President Lt. Gen. John W. Rosa.

The lawsuit was filed by a man who alleges he was sexually assaulted as a minor by a summer camp counselor, Louis Neal "Skip" ReVille, at the Citadel.

The lawsuit named the Citadel's president because the plaintiff claimed Rosa was liable as ReVille's supervisor and that Rosa worked to try to cover up the abuse.

The judge on Friday threw out those claims but let stand a portion of the lawsuit that alleges Rosa violated the man's "right to substantive due process of the law."
