Police: Woman impersonated officer in North Charleston

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Police in North Charleston are looking for a woman who allegedly impersonated an officer at a motel Sunday.

According to police, the woman entered an occupied room at the Red Roof Inn, 7480 Northwoods Blvd., just after 10:30 p.m. Sunday. There, the alleged victim told police, the woman said she was a police officer and took money out of a man's wallet.

The same woman also took $140 from another man earlier in the say, according to police.

The suspect is described as a white woman with red hair, approximately 5-feet 2-inches tall and weighing around 110 pounds.
