GEORGETOWN, S.C. (WCIV) -- A Georgetown man authorities say robbed a store Tuesday has turned himself in.

Darrell Linen, 21, turned himself in to Georgetown County sheriff's deputies just hours after they say he robbed the W.T. Owens store on Pleasant Hill Drive.

Investigators said Linen walked into the store at 1 p.m. Tuesday "armed with what appeared to be a handgun" and took money from an employee. The employee refused, according to a news release from the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office, and Linen fled the scene on foot.

Deputies were notified around 11 p.m. that Linen wanted to turn himself in, and he was arrested at a home on County Line Road.

Linen is charged with armed robbery, kidnapping, grand larceny and possession of a weapon during the commission of a crime, officials said Wednesday.
