Bette Midler tours Boeing plant - WCIV-TV | ABC News 4 - Charleston News, Sports, Weather

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Actor, singer, comedienne and Academy Award nominee Bette Midler was in the Lowcountry today, touring the Boeing facility in North Charleston.

Company officials confirmed Midler was at the plant.

"She toured the Aft, Mid Body, Final Assembly buildings as well as the Delivery Center," said Candy Eslinger, a Boeing spokeswoman. "Some of our teammates got a chance to shake her hand and welcome her to the site."

Midler later said on Twitter the tour was a "great experience" and complimented the workers there.
