CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- A Mt. Pleasant couple was found stabbed to death at their Caribbean condo.
According to a statement from St. Maartens lead prosecutor Hans Mos, Michael and Thelma Kings bodies were found at their Ocean Club Resort residence on Friday.
Mos says right now the motive for the crime is unclear, but a team of 25 officers are working on the case. He says they are still in the process of interviewing possible witnesses to the crime.
At the couples Marsh Harbor house in Mt. Pleasant baby's breath and roses were left at the door. Neighbors who did not want to talk on camera told us they were great people, who treated everyone as extended family members.
The Kings were originally from the Columbia area and still own several businesses there. We will bring you more on this story as it develops.
