LADSON, S.C. (WCIV) - Deputies say a Saturday night shooting on Parlor Drive in Ladson sent one woman to the hospital and left one man dead.

Major John Garrison with the Dorchester County Sheriff's Department says the incident looks to have stemmed from a domestic dispute.

The woman was shot multiple times and transported to MUSC, according to Garrison.  Officials say a man was found dead upon entering the townhome.

According to a police report, Penny Lynn Mims was shot twice in the face, twice in the chest and once in her arm. Police say she was conscious enough to tell them that the shooter, Michael Eugene Mims was her husband and that he shot her "for no reason."

Michael Mims was found inside the couple's home, dead with a gunshot wound to his head.

The incident is still under investigation.

ABC News 4 will have more on this story as it develops.
