APEX, N.C. (AP) - South Carolina Gov. Nikki
Haley has made her second trip to North Carolina in less than a week,
this time to help Mitt Romney and urge women to focus on economic issues
in the presidential election.
Haley addressed about 150
people at a "Women for Mitt" event Monday morning in Apex. The News
& Observer of Raleigh reported Haley said issues such as contraception are not going to be the deciding factors for women.
Haley said women are
"paying attention to everything," including jobs, the economy and health
care. She criticized arguments by Democrats that Republicans are
creating a war on women.
Haley attended a Pat McCrory for governor rally last Wednesday in Fayetteville.
Haley planned later Monday to attend "Women for Mitt" events in Virginia and Florida.
