PHILIPSBURG, ST. MAARTEN (WCIV) -- A St. Maarten newspaper has published the name and photo of the man accused of murdering a Mount Pleasant couple.
The St. Maarten News Network reports Meyshane Kemar Johnson is the 29-year-old Jamaican man arrested for the murders of Thelma and Michael King. SMNN also reports that the killing was robbery-related and that this wasn't Johnson's first run-in with police.
SMNN says in an article published Tuesday morning that Johnson is also accused of robbing a local Chinese restaurant and that police had shot at his vehicle as he attempted to flee the scene.
The article also says police are looking for a second suspect described as a Jamaican juvenile.
