ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WCIV) -- Three relatives of a murder suspect helped him escape, sheriff's deputies said.

"Shirley Elaine Berry, Tshusima Yaki Berry and Stephanie Nicole Jenkins are facing three counts each of accessory after the fact for the three victims in the shooting on Maedrine Street on Monday, Sept. 10," Orangeburg County Sheriff Leroy Ravenell said in a news release.

"Our investigation indicates Shirley Elaine Berry made arrangements to take her son, Terrance Shawan Johnson, to Mississippi five days after the shooting in Orangeburg," he said.

Johnson was arrested in Mississippi and is awaiting extradition to South Carolina.

Bond hearings for all of the women are scheduled for Friday.
