MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCIV) -- A battle-tested aircraft carrier anchored in Mount Pleasant is once again joining the fight against breast cancer.

Patriots Point officials said Monday the U.S.S. Yorktown - also known as the Fighting Lady - will turn pink in October as part of an effort to raise awareness and fight the disease.

Each night in October, the lights on the flight deck will be pink.

The lights were also pink last year in October.
