Trial interrupted by medical emergency

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- The start of a man's murder trial was delayed Monday after a medical emergency involving a potential juror.

Officials confirmed Monday juror qualification will begin anew Tuesday morning.

Darold Drayton is charged with murder in the stabbing death of Alexi Lukaitis in August 2010. The woman's body was found along a dirt road outside Ravenel.

The condition of the potential juror is not clear, but officials with the Charleston County Court Clerk's office said juror qualification will begin Tuesday at 9 a.m. Jury selection likely will begin some time after 11 a.m., officials said.
