Reward offered in case of rabbits' deaths

SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCIV) -- A Lowcountry group is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those who killed three rabbits in late September.

Pet Helpers announced Monday it is offering $900 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of there person or persons responsible for the death of the rabbits.

The animals were taken from a garage on Wilson Street and killed. One rabbit was decapitated, according to a police report.

"Pet Helpers believes all pets are cherished members of a family and their killings should be taken seriously," the group said in a statement.
