CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- The winning couple of Magnolia Plantation's Sharing the Romance $50,000 wedding giveaway was introduced to the Lowcountry Tuesday and all the vendors who will be planning their dream wedding.

Couples from all over the country sent in their video submissions to Magnolia Plantation. A panel of seven judges narrowed the competition down to four semi-finalists.

The public was invited to vote on who they thought should win and 24-year-old Katie Durham and 27-year-old Bobby Hill won.

Durham and Hill are both currently serving in the Army. Durham is a military intelligence officer and Hill is an infantry officer in the same army unit.

"Nobody feels like they deserve a $50,000 wedding," Durham said. "To get the support that we did was just unbelievable."

"It's kind of a surreal experience," Hill said. "It still hasn't really set in that we've actually won this contest."

The couple just recently returned from a tour in Afghanistan last month.

Their big day is set for Feb. 9 at the Carriage House at Magnolia Plantation. They will honeymoon in Charleston.
