Suspect in 2010 murder gets life in prison

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) - A man charged with the murder of a woman in 2010 was convicted on Friday.

Officials with the 9th circuit solicitor's office say Darold Drayton was sentenced to life in prison for the murder of Alexi Lukaitis.

The trial was delayed Monday after a medical emergency involving a potential juror, but resumed Tuesday. 

The body of Lukaitis was found in August of 2010 along a dirt road outside of Ravenel.
