GOOSE CREEK, S.C. (WCIV) -- Goose Creek resident Angela Henderson appeared on Lowcountry Live Monday to promote her book "Run For Your Life: Strategies for Those Who Will Go the Distance." She described it as a humorous account of "endurance, perseverance, faith and victory."
"You're going to find a lot of encouragement. There [are] lessons in each chapter. There's also food for thought," Henderson said.
The tale began in 2009 and 2010 as Henderson and her husband became victims of the nationwide financial crisis. As an outlet for her struggles, Henderson began to run. The couple had to raise money to participate in a charity marathon.
"We ended up having to raise money for the cause at a time when we needed it ourselves," said Henderson. "It was the most wonderful experience."
"Run For Your Life" is available at Lulu.com and at the Zondervan Family Bookstore in Northwoods Mall.
