CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Police are asking for the public's help to find a driver who allegedly struck a man on a bicycle Sept. 26.

The bicyclist was struck while riding on Riverland Drive. He told police he was struck from behind by someone.

The man suffered injuries to his nose and mouth.

A spokesman for the Charleston Police Department said Monday the suspect's vehicle is "a full-size truck, SUV or van with damage on its passenger side."

The vehicle should also be missing its passenger-side mirror, the spokesman said.

Anyone with information about the case can call (843) 965-4084 or (843) 577-7434.
