Murder suspect arrested near scene

JACKSONBORO, S.C. (WCIV) -- Deputies say the suspect in a deadly shooting was found right next door to the murder scene.

Officials with the Colleton County Sheriff's Office say 30-year-old David Lee Brown is facing murder charges.

The 911 Dispatch/Communications Center received a call from a residence at 72 Perkins Path, off Hope Plantation Road, near Jacksonboro around 6 p.m. Monday. The caller told 911 operators that her boyfriend had been shot.

Deputies arrived to find Demetrious Martel Williams shot several times. He was declared dead on the scene. Officials say he had been shot several times. A shotgun was also recovered.

Brown is scheduled to head before and judge on Tuesday.
