Suspect in N. Charleston manhunt arrested

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- The suspect in a manhunt Wednesday afternoon in North Charleston has been arrested.

Charleston County sheriff's deputies said they were investigating a stolen vehicle case around 2:30 p.m. in the parking lot of the Kangaroo Express, 5255 Rivers Ave.

While there, investigators saw the vehicle - a blue Toyota Tundra - pull into the parking lot.

The suspect - who has not been identified - took off and drove into the Russelldale area of North Charleston with someone in the truck, officials said.

Deputies said the suspect stopped on Rockingham Street and fled on foot. He was arrested on Twitty Street.
