CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- According to North Charleston Police reports, 30-year-old murder victim Kareen "Shawn" Wylder was first discovered by his younger brother.

Cortez Wylder found the body inside a green Chevy Tahoe parked in the parking lot of the Pine Haven post office. Cortez Wylder called 911 and told police on the scene someone shot his brother.

"We're hurt and we're numb right now. We're just stuck right know, just stuck. We don't know why anyone would want to hurt Shawn or do that to Shawn," said the victim's uncle William Wylder.

The report says Cortez told police his brother went missing the night before and he used a GPS tracking device to find the truck.

Wylder was discovered on the passenger side of a green Chevy Tahoe. According to the report, he was shot at least twice in his shoulder and once in the head.

"It wasn't warranted, they way it was carried out, execution style or whatnot, it wasn't warranted. It's just sad, just sad," said William Wylder.

Wylder says his nephew was working as mechanic and not hanging out in the streets.

"He had his flaws and past and whatnot but he turned his life all the way around," said Wylder.

William Wylder says the family expects the police department will find who out who did this.

"We want justice for Shawn because he doesn't deserve that," said Wylder.
