NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV)—Former Presidential candidate Rick Santorum made a stop in the Lowcountry Thursday afternoon.

Santorum, a Republican and chairman of the Political Action Committee Patriot Voices was at the GOP Victory Center in North Charleston to meet and talk with GOP volunteers.

With the highly anticipated vice presidential debate Thursday night, the boost in morale couldn't come at a better time.

We asked Santorum his predictions for tonight's debate.

"I hope to hear Paul Ryan lay out a detailed, positive, vision for this country on how we're going to tackle the great economic and fiscal problems in Washington, D.C. as well as how we're going to get this economy growing," Santorum said. "Like the first debate was, the economy will probably be the bulk of the debate topics."

As for the differences between Ryan and Biden, Santorum didn't hold back his opinion.

"There will be a clear difference, not just in substance but in competence, and style, and the ability to communicate, and I think that will all be to the benefit of the Republicans."
