CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- The trial of Marion Lamont Brown Jr., accused of carjacking, kidnapping and raping a woman in May 2011 has been rescheduled after Brown suffered a seizure in the middle of his hearing.

The trial is set to resume on Thursday, Oct. 18. Solicitor Scarlett Wilson said the hearing was rescheduled to ensure that Brown's alleged victim will have a chance to speak in court.

Brown was out on bond for an aggravated assault charge in the City of Charleston. That case was still pending. The sheriff's office charged him with three counts of second degree criminal sexual conduct, grand larceny of a motor vehicle, kidnapping and second degree assault and battery.

Brown agreed to a guilty plea before his seizure at his trial on Oct. 4. He will be sentenced to a 30 year sentence to be served consecutively.
