Folly Beach police investigate suspicious death

FOLLY BEACH, S.C. (WCIV) -- Investigators are looking into the death of a man found unresponsive on the beach Sunday.

According to police, a man and his wife were walking on Folly Beach when they saw a man they believed to be intoxicated "laying in an uncomfortable position next to a log behind 605 E. Arctic." The couple tried to wake the man up, according to a report from the Folly Beach Police Department.

Investigators said the man was blue and had a puddle of red, dried fluid beneath his nose and mouth, the report said.
