Second man arrested in Oct. 13 assault, robbery

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Charleston police have arrested a second man in connection with an armed robbery and assault earlier this month at a Norman Street apartment.

Ronald C. Bryant, 20, is charged with strong-armed robbery, second-degree assault and battery and first-degree burglary.

Investigators say he, Chez Hayward, 21, and another man assaulted a man after knocking on his door around 11 p.m. Oct. 13. Money was taken from the victim, police said.

Hayward was arrested Oct. 17. He is charged with strong-armed robbery, first-degree burglary and second-degree assault and battery.

The third suspect has not been apprehended.
