Police make second arrest in Charleston homicide

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Charleston police have arrested a second man in connection with a shooting death Saturday.

Albert L. Brown, 37, was found dead with a gunshot wound to the head at Line and Nassau streets downtown.

Investigators Tuesday announced the arrest of Brandon L. Scott, 19. He is charged with accessory after the fact of murder.

Earlier, police arrested Darren N. Simmons, 23, and charged him with murder in Scott's death.

Simmons appeared in bond court Tuesday, and bond was denied on the murder charge.

Scott is on probation for a drug charge, police said in a news release.

Bond was set for Scott on Wednesday for $50,000.
