LADSON, S.C. (WCIV)—Crews are hard at work setting up the 56th annual Coastal Carolina Fair in Ladson.

The fair will open its gates Thursday, October 25 and close on Sunday, Nov. 4.

Organizers say there will be rides for kids and adults, games, food vendors, all sorts of nightly concerts and plenty family-friendly entertainment to go around.

Fair organizer Joe Bolchoz says attendees will be impressed with the variety of activities and rides for all ages.

"We've got more than 60 rides that this year - We'll have about 20 of those rides designed for the smaller rider - and then we have other rides called ‘spectaculars,' they'll turn you every way but loose," Bolchoz said Tuesday.

Also, for the first time in 56 years, Bolchoz says the fair will be open for an extra Sunday this year to give people in the community the opportunity the chance to come out and enjoy the fall weather.

Tickets range from $5 to $20 at the gate. Slightly cheaper advanced tickets will also be on sale at Piggly Wiggly Tuesday and Wednesday.

Bolchoz says admission prices have not gone up in five years.
