FDA releases list of hospitals, clinics that received tainted shots

Posted: Updated:

WASHINGTON, D.C. (WCIV) -- Federal officials Tuesday posted a list of hospitals and clinics that bought drugs from a New England company connected to a nationwide meningitis outbreak.

On Monday, the Food and Drug Administration posted a list on its website of more than 1,200 hospitals and clinics that purchased steroids and other drugs from the New England Compounding Center, CNN reported.

Hundreds of illnesses and 23 deaths have been connected to the outbreak.

The FDA pulled the list down saying it needed to make some corrections.

The corrected list can be found here.

The FDA also posted a list of drugs it is concerned about in the outbreak. You can find a complete list of the potentially affected drugs on the FDA's website.

The FDA is warning patients who received these drugs to watch out signs of fungal meningitis, such as headache and fever.

CNN contributed to this report.
