Police make meth bust in Summerville hotel

SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCIV) - Police say several materials used to make meth were found in a Summerville hotel room early Monday morning.

Captain Jon Rogers with Summerville Police says two people were detained around 1:45 a.m. Monday for using fake ID's at the Walgreens on North Main Street. On Tuesday, police identified the duo as Crystal Kowalski and Christopher Meehan.

Both were charged with manufacuting meth. Kowalski was also charged with identity fraud, financial transaction card fraud, possession of a financial transaction card forgery device and financial number theft.

A key card from the Holiday Inn on Holiday Drive was located on the suspects, according to police.

Police say they went to the hotel and found several chemicals used to manufacture methamphetamine.

Rogers says the investigation is ongoing.
