Village People cancel fair appearance due to Sandy - WCIV-TV | ABC News 4 - Charleston News, Sports, Weather

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) – Hurricane Sandy's damaging winds and storm surge have created a problem at the Coastal Carolina Fair.

The Village People, who were supposed to perform Wednesday night, had to cancel their appearance at the fair because they are grounded in New Jersey until normal flights resume. In their place, Edwin McCain will perform.

That show starts at 8 p.m.

The Coastal Carolina Fair is in its 56th year.
