MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCIV) – Thanksgiving is less than a month away, and East Cooper Community Outreach needs help stocking its shelves with all of the traditional Turkey Day goodies we sometimes take for granted.

ECCO is holding its annual Thanksgiving food drive to help put meals on the table for Lowcountry families who are homeless or impoverished this holiday season.

"We need all the Thanksgiving fixings," said Jack Little, the executive director for ECCO. "Things like cranberry sauce, stuffing mix, instant potatoes, canned vegetables - all the things that you think of when you sit down at Thanksgiving."

East Cooper Community Outreach is located at 1145 Six Mile Road in Mt. Pleasant. It is open and taking donations Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. until Thanksgiving.

Every donation counts.

Those seeking information on how to donate or looking for details on how to host a food drive can call 849-9220. You can also visit ECCO's website.
