CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Patriots Point Naval and Maritime Museum announced earlier this month it will open its gates for free to members of the military and their families in honor of Veterans Day.
There is a $5 fee to park, officials said.
"We are grateful for the patriotism and courage shown by the servicemen and women who have served our nation throughout its history," said Patriots Point Executive Director Mac Burdette.
"This is our way of saying thanks – not only to those who served; but to the families who supported them as well."
