Friday morning we asked abc27 viewers to share ways that they know to help the Superstorm Sandy relief efforts in New York and New Jersey. Below are some of the responses we received.
Donate to Creekside Soul, a Perry County musical group that will strum and sing on midstate stages in the next couple weeks to raise money for Sandy relief.
Buy a t-shirt to support the American Academy of Family Physicians Foundation's Sandy relief efforts.
Jayme Madden is collecting the following items to take to the Far Rockaway area of Queens, New York. She is accepting donations until Friday, November 23. Donations can be dropped off at the following locations:
Broad Street Market, 1231 North 3rd Street, Harrisburg 17102. They are open 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesdays, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday (all donations qualify you for Market Dollars to be used at The Broad Street Market)

Work gloves, batteries(specifically D batteries), flashlights, face masks and thick black contractor bags
Baby supplies: jars of baby food, baby formula, baby bottles, baby wipes, baby powder, baby wash items, etc... Baby supplies must be unopened.
Medical supplies: Baby cough medicine, Band-Aids, Neosporin, Ace bandages, Advil, Tylenol, cough drops, etc. All medical items must be unopened.
Food items: water, orange juice, apple juice, granola bars, powdered milk, jelly (they already have lots of peanut butter) and anything else that is nonperishable. Try to avoid items that need to be warmed up (such as soups, canned foods, etc.) All food items must be unopened.
Personal care items: toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, hair brushes, floss, feminine hygiene products, adult Depends (all sizes), contact solution, soap/body wash, lotion, shampoo/conditioner, shaving razors, shaving cream, mouth wash, cotton balls, q-tips, hand sanitizer, etc... All personal care items must be unopened.
Winter coats, hats, scarves and gloves (no other clothing is being accepted at this time)
Paper products: paper plates, cups, bowls, silverware, tissues, toilet paper, paper towels and napkins
Sabrina Luta will be collecting items to send to Oakwood Beach, NJ where the parents of a York County pastor had their home destroyed during Hurricane Sandy. Luta is requesting the following items be dropped off at The Pub on the Trail, 3594 N. Susquehanna Trail, York, PA on Saturday November 17 between 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Cleaning supplies, such as bleach, paper towels, mops, brooms, hand sanitizer, and heavy-duty trash bags
Building supplies, such as nails, tools, measuring tape, and work gloves
