MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCIV) -- Medical University of South Carolina officials are slated to unveil a new after-hours pediatric urgent care facility.
A news conference is scheduled for Monday, where officials are expected to announce the opening of the clinic at 2705 Highway 17 N.
Those expected to be at the news conference include Mount Pleasant Mayor Billy Swails, Sullivan's Mayor Carl Smith and Isle of Palms Mayor Dick Cronin. Eleven-year-old Eleanor Ross - who had surgery when she was just 19 months old to correct an artery anomaly - will be part of the ribbon-cutting.
U.S. Rep. Tim Scott is also expected to be at the event, according to a news release from MUSC.
