JOINT BASE CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- More than 160 airmen came home to family and friends at Joint Base Charleston Sunday afternoon.
The 17th Airlift Squadron returned from a four month deployment in Southwest Asia.
"I'm so grateful that he's home," said Rena Granholm. "I'm so proud of what he's been doing, all of these young men and women that are out there serving our country. Just so thankful for him to be home and naturally it's difficult when he's gone, but you try to make the most of it, keep yourself busy and occupied, and press on. You gotta take care of the homefront when they're taking care of business over there."
This squadron executed more than 140 airdrops with supplies to service men and woman in those regions.
