CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — The countdown is on to Election Day, and if you ask Lowcountry voters if they're ready, well, the answer will vary.

"I know who I'm voting for, and I'm ready to vote for the first time," said 19-year-old Anna-Lee Rhea. Other voters like, Kimberly Moye, are not quite as confident.

"I don't really know what to expect, like all the names and stuff. I'm going to be really overwhelmed," said Moye.

For those living in District 1, U.S. House of Representative Tim Scott will take on Democratic candidate Bobbie Rose and Libertarian Keith Blandford.

"I think he's the favorite to win. I expect it's a largely Republican district. I expect he will do well in returning to Washington," said political analyst Gibbs Knotts.

For those living in Dorchester and Berkeley counties, Knotts weighs in on a bond referendum that would build new schools if voters approve.

"This is typically an area that's pretty conservative and doesn't necessarily have a record of voting for tax increases. It's going to be an uphill battle," said Knotts.

On Tuesday, South Carolina voters will also decide if the lieutenant governor and governor should run on the same party ticket.

"It would perhaps allow for a little more coordination. One of the downsides is the lieutenant governor wouldn't be the head of the South Carolina Senate anymore," said Knotts.

Of course, the big race features President Barack Obama against challenger, Gov. Mitt Romney.

"Most folks expect the state of South Carolina to go to Romney," said Knotts.

And for the first time in years, Charleston County will also vote for a new auditor. Republican candidate Paul Gawrych and Democratic candidate Peter Tecklenburg are vying for the position.
