Murder suspect accused of cutting ankle monitor returned to Charleston

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) – The murder suspect who was accused of removing his ankle monitor and fleeing to Atlanta was returned to Charleston County Wednesday evening, officials said.

According to the Charleston County Sheriff's Department, Travaris Walker was extradited back to Charleston County and housed in the Al Cannon Detention Center.

Walker fled Charleston on Oct. 20 and was found in an Atlanta suburb on Oct. 26, officials said.

Walker has been charged with the Dec. 19, 2011, murder of Marquis Richardson.

Walker will face a Circuit Court Judge as soon as next week.
