4's Freebies: Free eats and more for veterans

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Several area eateries are offering deals to Lowcountry veterans.

All you need is proof of your military service.

Below are some of them (...and click on the name of the restaurant for more information on the freebies):

• Applebee's - Choose a free signature entree Nov. 11 at participating locations.
• Denny's - All-you-can-eat pancakes on Nov. 12
• Golden Corral - Free meal to any veteran or active-duty service member. Deal is valid Nov. 12 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
• Hooter's - 10 free boneless wings
• Little Caesar's - Free Crazy Bread
• Olive Garden - Free meal
• Red Lobster - Free appetizer
• TGI Friday's - Free lunch

Charleston's historical Magnolia Plantation and Gardens is offering active duty military,veterans and their immediate family members, free garden admission. Other attractions are not included.

And in honor of our veterans, Fort Sumter also has free admission Sunday and Monday.
