PAWLEYS ISLAND, S.C. (WCIV) – Georgetown County deputies arrested a 22-year-old teacher for sending inappropriate texts to a student at Waccamaw High School.

According to deputies, a female student at the school told the principal that she and a male teacher were communicating via text messages. The school's resource officer was notified of the issue and, in turn, called in other investigators.

As a result of the investigation, a warrant was issued for William Christopher Wall's arrest.

Wall turned himself in to police on Nov. 6 and arrested on one count of unlawful use of a telephone.

The release did not say what messages were allegedly exchanged between the student and Wall.
