ISLE OF PALMS, S.C. (AP/WCIV) -- Gov. Nikki Haley spoke to business leaders from across South Carolina Thursday.

The governor spoke around noon to the annual business summit of the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce on the Isle of Palms.

Prior to Haley's remarks, there were a number of discussions about issues facing business, ranging from health care and the state's infrastructure to energy.

Thursday evening, the chamber honored state Senate President Pro Tem John Courson of Columbia as its public servant of the year.

The group also honored Josef Kerscher of BMW as its business leader of the year.

After the remarks, reporters asked Haley about the recent international hacking scandal that compromised 3.8 million social security numbers and hundreds of thousands of credit and debit card numbers last month.

"I want to make sure we have the whole story, so until we know that information I don't think we can say anything," Haley said. "What I do think we can do is start work now and say how are we going to make sure we have the strongest cyber plan in the country."

Haley didn't say anything new about the investigation, but added more details on how the hacking could have happened should be out as early as next week.
